Set of Notelets

by Joanne Wardle

Set of Notelets

I love messing around with distress inks to make backgrounds. Here I made a set of notelets, and envelopes to fit them in. I love how this webbing ribbon creates an interesting mat for the main image, and the ribbon stamps just look so realistic.

Materials

  • Paper and Cardstock
    • White card : 1 7x5 card blank cut to make 4 3.5x2.5 notelets
    • Squares of white card 1.5”x1.5”
  • Stamps
    • Rubberstamp Avenue, Twigs & Sprigs     ( RS-CS-M026   $9.99)
    • Stampendous, Ribbon Bow Borders     ( STM-SSC-058   $14.99)
  • Inks and Embossing Powders
  • Embellishments
    • 2” webbed weave, black MA-WQ-10   $0.89/yard)
  • Tools
  • Adhesives
    • Silicone glue, or other dimensional glue

Instructions

  • To create background, smear distress ink onto craft sheet

  • Spritz with water

  • Spread with finger

  • Dab squares of paper onto ink,

  • Check for desired effect, repeat if necessary, and leave to dry

  • Cut notelets from 7x5 card blank as shown

  • Cut 2” pieces from webbing ribbon

  • Overstamp backgrounds with twigs and sprigs stamps. Stamp ribbon border onto notelet and mount image on webbing ribbon.

  • Create an envelope as shown, by folding paper around notelet and trimming to shape

  • Repeat for other 3 notelets
