Rose Coloring Project (Lis Whiting)

Rose Coloring Project
by Lis Whiting

Hi everyone!  Today I wanted to share a coloring project I did using one of Fran's own rubber stamps and Distress Markers.  This coloring project is a bit unexpected because I used dark purple card stock.  Normally you would not think that the colors would show well, but they do!  It just goes to show you that you don't always have to use white card stock to color!

To make this beautiful rose:
  • I embossed the Rose stamp using Versa Mark and gold embossing powder
  • I colored the rose with two layers of color.
  • I allowed the color to stay on the gold embossing (I didn't wipe it off.) It helped give a pretty metallic color that added to the overall color of my rose.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope that you give coloring a try on some non-traditional card stock too!

-Lis

  1. I am surprised at how well those markers worked on coloured cardstock. Will have to give it a try!
