Girl of the Sea



I love the way that the hair of the girl in this image floats into the background, so you can’t tell where one ends and another begins. It creates a really serene effect.

Materials

  • Paper and Cardstock
    • Standard white card
    • Basic Grey Paper, Sugar Rush 6"x6" pad     ( BG-6x6-RUSH   $5.99)
  • Stamps
    • Frantic Stamper Lg flowing hair lady     ( 126-02-M   $5.00)
  • Inks and Embossing Powders
  • Embellishments
    • Ribbons
      • Grid, Green Apple     (
 CR-Grid-AP   $0.45/yard)
      • Sheer pinstripe, Olive/gold     (
 MA-WS-16   $0.49/yard)
    • Liquid pearls, Platinum     (

  • Miscellaneous
    • Coloured pencils

Instructions

  • Stamp the girl onto white card with black ink and colour with pencils.
    Trim to size and then distress the edges with a scissor blade or distressing tool.
    Edge with distress ink.

  • Cover a card blank with patterned paper. Punch a hole in the card where you want the knot to be.

  • Twist two pieces of ribbon together, lay over the front of the card and pass the ends to the back of the hole and pass ends through the hole and over the ribbon.
    Tie a knot.

  • Finish with a drop of liquid pearls to represent a pearl on the image.
