Simple Notelet

by Joanne Wardle

This is a project that is quick to do and easy enough for stampers of any level, yet pretty enough to wow anyone!

Simple Notelet

Materials

    Plain white folded card
    Post it notes
Stamp: Inkadinkadoo Garden Delight (INK-CS-97623 $9.99)
Acrylic block (for example, SUN-AH-10 $14.95)
    Black archival ink (RAN-ARCP-jet $5.49)
    Distress inks :
        Fired brick (RAN-DP-Brick $5.00)
        Spiced marmalade ( RAN-DP-spice $5.00)
        Mustard seed (RAN-DP-Must $5.00)
Cut and dry foam (RAN-CND-foam $4.99)

Instructions

    • On the front of the card, mask off a rectangle on the card, using the post it notes.
    • With a small piece of cut’n’dry foam ink up the rectangle from the outside in, first using scattered straw to cover whole area, then spiced marmalade to cover about half way in, then fired brick to shade the edges. Blend well
    • Remove the post it notes and over-stamp with black ink

Variation on a theme:

Using different colours can produce a completely different mood. This example uses:
    Distress inks:
        Faded jeans (RAN-DP-Jean $5.00)
        Dusty concord (RAN-DP-Concord $5.00)
        Black soot (RAN-DP-Soot $5.00)
    Stamps: Inkadinkado Flourishes (INK-CS-97618 $9.99)

Hope you’ll give this project a try!
Joanne

  4. Joanne, I simply LOVE this technique. It's so easy (and fast) that even I might find the time to actually make a card. :-) And the results are absolutely STUNNING!!
