Peaceful Winter Church
by Kathy BergerI am so far behind on my holiday card making that I needed a card I could put together fairly quickly, and this is what I came up with. I am going to be mass-producing this card over the next couple of days. With my eBosser I can cut all the pieces for a card in a single pass, so it should go fairly quickly.
First I used the Snowfall Reverse Cut die on a piece of 10 mil pvc clear cover to create a reusable stencil. (These sheets are also great for making windows, shaker cards, and clear boxes!) Next I taped the stencil in place over a light blue card panel that I had cut to 4" by 5 1/4", and I dabbed stencil paste over the holes in the stencil. I used an old credit card to scrape off the excess paste and lifted the stencil off of the card panel. I sprinkled the card with ultra-fine glitter and shook off the excess. I then set the blue panel aside to dry.
I die-cut the Large Church out of white card stock. I cut a small piece of card stock smaller than the church and colored it yellow. I glued that to the back side of the church. I then added colors to make the stained-glass windows.
I cut the snowy landscape using the Stitched Scene Builder dies, attached them to my card layer, and layered my church on top.
The finishing touch was adding a saying from the Round Christmas Vignettes clear stamp set to a banner cut with one of the Arched Banners dies.
I hope you enjoyed this card. Here are a couple more images.
