Design Team News

Hello everyone. As you know, we have had some big changes recently in the Frantic Stamper Design Team. We previously announced that Karen Letchworth and Ann Greenspan decided to leave the team, and that Karen Oliver had agreed to join us full time.

But now we are pleased to welcome our former guest Alanna Moses to the team in a full time capacity for the rest of the year. We are beyond thrilled to have her with us!

We are so excited about the work our team is doing for us. We love what they are creating, and think you will be, too!

In addition to our new full time team we are thrilled to still have Becky Carafa designing for us for a couple more months, and starting on March first we will have two new guest designers joining us through the end of May.

First up I would like to welcome Kendra Sands to the team.

Here is a little about Kendra, in her own words:

My name is, Kendra, I live in Wisconsin with my high school sweetheart and our two fun energetic kids!! ! I’m a SAHM in winter and work landscaping in summer! When I'm not spending time with my family, I have a passion for flowers!! As well as crafting! I started scrapping 16 years ago as both my husband and I raced at a local race track and I wanted to keep track of our wins and photos. From that it grew into a HUGE obsession! I started scrapping everything and then just over 9 years ago got into making all my own cards! I love inspiring others! So excited to be designing with Frantic Stamper!!

Next we have Ted Mattos joining us. Yes, I said Ted! We have our first male designer joining us and we are psyched to have him with us!

Here is a little introduction:

Ted was born and raised in California, so pretty much knows nothing more than sunshine, beautiful coastlines, and crowded highways. :) By day, he teaches a group of 30+ nine-year-olds the basics of academics, and by night you can either find him in his craft room for some good ink and paper therapy, or at his Kindle reading some good old-fashioned fantasy and Christian books. Regarding creativity, Ted leans more to the clean-and-simple style of card making. He feels very honored and grateful for the opportunity to guest design for Frantic Stamper, and he's excited to share his craft with the company's fans! :)

Christmas Blessings" (Rozy Smith Design Team Emeritus)

Happy 25th! As is our tradition, we would like to share another Christmas card with you today. We hope you are 1/6 of the way through your card making for 2016!

"Christmas Blessings"
by Rozy

Cut a 12x12 piece of white cardstock in half, score one section for a 6x6 card base.

Cut a piece of red foil paper 5 3/4"x 3 3/4", adhere to right side of card base. Mat a Christmas saying to a piece of white cardstock creating a framed image. Apply the saying to the top portion of the red foil mat.

Using red, green & gold foil cut out three Square Scalloped Dies.

Using silver foil, die-cut (1) Joy Round Insert (1) Nativity Round Insert & (1) Noel Square Insert. Add the inserts to the scalloped round and square shapes.  The round inserts fit nicely in the Square Scalloped Die which gives many more choices to create with.

Attach a strip of red glitter tape down the left side, position three Vignette's down the ribbon strip.

Die-Cut Small Polka Dotted Paper Bow from Christmas paper, form bow and add glitter pearl to the center. Attach under the Christmas verse.

Blessings to you all for a Merry Christmas. Enjoy making your cards with all the Frantic Stamper dies..... Rozy

Happy Birthday (Jeni Allen)

Happy Birthday

by Jeni Allen

I always need birthday cards!! So, I took these great new dies to make a fun girly birthday for an upcoming date in the mailbox!! The gift was cut from the Gift and Bows die set. I think this little gift will see a lot of use in the coming days!! I used a bit of silver foiled paper for the little bow...my daughter insisted!!

The sentiment for this card came from the super fun Mixed Font Happy Birthday dies!! I love, love, love mixed fonts!! I think this set is perfect!! I used the silver foiled paper again, and then a coordinating pink.

Rocket Shaker Card (Jen Carter)

Rocket Shaker Card
by Jen Carter

Hello!  For today's card I wanted to show how you can use the new Rocket Launchdie set to make a shaker card!

I started by die cutting the rocket from the Rocket Launch die set from patterned paper.  I really like how the rocket looks cut out from different patterns!  This is a great die to think outside the box with!

Then, I die cut the rocket a second time using fun foam that already had adhesive on it.  I added my clear acetate window and adhered the layers together, then added my sequins.  For the dots on the front I used pink enamel dots.

Jen Carter XOXO Rocket Closeup

For the clouds at the bottom, I used two of the Stitched Cloud Edgers dies and I die cut a sheet of vellum several times and layered them on top of each other.  I love how this turned out and how you can still see the patterned paper in the background.

Jen Carter XOXO Rocket

The sentiment is from the Sentiments from Space clear stamp set that I am over the moon (pun intended!!) about!!

Design Team News

The Frantic Stamper Design Team wants to thank Lori McAree for being a wonderful guest designer for us for the past three months. We really hope that she will come back and design for us again sometime in the future. It was truly a delight to work with her.

It is time to welcome our newest guest, though. Becky Carafa will be joining us through the end of April.

Here is a little bit about Becky, in her own words.

My name is Becky Carafa, and I am so happy to be guest designing for Frantic Stamper this month! I live in Ohio with my husband of 14 years and our two kids, ages 9 and 5. My day job is teaching math to high schoolers, which keeps me busy. I started stamping over 16 years ago when a crafty friend would invite me over on weekends to stamp. I started collecting my own stuff, and the rest is history! My style is mostly Clean and Simple, and I find inspiration in great graphics and colors!

Birthday #22 (Michelle Leone)

Birthday #22
by Michelle Leone

I believe that I've got my daughter's next birthday covered! This is way, WAY ahead of time (and so unlike me) - which is a great thing, as long as I'm able to find it all when September rolls around!

Loving the new number dies and the 'three sizes in one' means that I can easily make multiple projects. I've used a bit of patterned paper and a few simple stamps to create a girly card and a few tags. And there's a birthday crown (with the appropriate number prominently displayed) in the works too, which is a family tradition - no matter the age, no matter how silly! The added plus? When we look back at the photos from birthdays past, there's no need to count candles.... just look at the crown!
