Instructions
- Cut brown cardstock to make a 5”x 6.5” card base. Set aside.
-
Take a piece of Basic Grey Cappella Sonata paper and cut it an inch or so larger than you want your finished card front to be (approx. 6” x 8”).
-
Stamp the doily images in two corners of your cut patterned paper using VersaMark ink.
Sprinkle with Ranger seafoam embossing powder.
Emboss with your heat gun.
-
At the corners, stipple chestnut roan chalk ink over the embossed doily images.
Work the ink into the paper between the embossed sections.
Wipe the excess chalk ink off of the embossed images with a soft towel.
The embossed images will retain some of the chestnut roan color.
Softly blend out your stippling from the edges of the doily images.
-
Determine the exact size you want your layer to be. Mine is 4.5” x 6”.
Trim embossed piece to this size, picking out the best looking portion of your stamped paper.
Softly stipple the edges and other two corners of the cut piece. - Attach to blue layer of cardstock and trim, leaving only 1/16th of an inch showing.
-
Wrap organza ribbons around card in an asymmetrical manner.
I used one blue and 2 champagne pieces.
Using the remaining blue ribbon, add a couple of “loops” to the right side of where the flower will be attached.
- Attach this to the front of brown card base.
- Attach your Prima Madrigal flower. Add various sized pearls in a scattered fashion.
-
Using chestnut roan Fluid Chalk ink, stamp “congratulations” on a scrap of Cappella Sonata paper (reverse side is blue).
Attach to front of card just under the edge of the flower using 3D foam squares. -
Add an extra finishing touch by lining the inside of the card with a scrap piece of the Cappella Sonata paper (reverse side) and a scrap strip of embossed patterned paper that was trimmed away earlier.
