Bonjour (Rachelle Green)

Bonjour
by Rachelle Green

I love using dies to create scenes. The Frantic Stamper December die release used with some previous releases and the happenings in France inspired me to make this card. I started with the solid light blue cardstock to simulate a blue sky and then used the the airplane and clouds from the Village Sky die set. I used adhesive craft foam for the clouds and Gold foil paper with the La Tour Eiffel die. Trendy Jean-Marc and the Bicycle die were the perfect compliment to give the feeling of "tooling" around Paris on a Fall day. Finally I added the Bridge Railing and Bonjour to finish this card. What does the scene bring to your mind? It was fast and easy using Frantic Stamper Precision dies.

Merry Christmas (Rachelle Green)

Today marks one month until the big day. We hope our monthly cards have inspired you to get your cards made in time to have a relaxed holiday season. Today we share a lovely yet simple card from DT member Rachelle Green.

Merry Christmas
by Rachelle Green

I kid you not, I put this card together in less than 10 minutes. Sometimes the stars align and everything goes as planned. I've really been having an issue with sleeping and wake up at all times of the night. This was one of those nights only this night I awakened with an idea for a card.

I started by using Frantic Stamper Precision Die Snowfall Reverse Cut. I placed it atop white cardstock and fill in the cut outs with iridescent glitter glue. Next I used white iridescent glitter paper and a stitched circle die for my "moon" cut. Using Santa's Sleigh Die and black cardstock I cut the silhouette, added a tiny bit of red glitter glue onto the lead reindeer's nose and glue it as if Santa and his reindeer are riding across the sky in front of the moon. To finish the card off, I used red foil paper and the Merry Christmas Die. I love the finished product and taking less than 10 minutes was the icing on the cake!

JOY (Rachelle Green)

Once again we are at the 25th of the month and we are happy to share yet another holiday card. This time the card is from team member Rachelle Green. We hope you will en"JOY"!

JOY
by Rachelle Green

I'm almost ashamed to say that everything I used for this card was laying out on my desk (note to self: clean off your desk). The card base is part of a card/envelope set I bought on clearance at the end of the last Christmas season.

I started by using the Frantic Stamper Precision Die Holly Joy along with gold foil paper and green cardstock. I cut part of the gold foil holly swirls away and adhered it to the green cardstock. I used the Ranger Vintage Photo Distress Ink on the holly leaves. After adhering it to a die cut of the Frantic Stamper Precision Die Elementals #11 Bracket Coved Label Set along with Ranger Vintage Photo Distress Ink I added red round rhinestones as the holly berries. For some added dimension I added foam dots under the label and used the original foil cuts as accent pieces.

You Color My World (Rachelle Green)

You Color My World
by Rachelle Green

The elements of this card have been cut out for over a month. They've just been lying on my craft table awaiting the right sentiment. A few days ago, at about 4 a.m., the sentiment popped into my head and I immediately knew how to finish this masterpiece. I started by using the Frantic Stamper Precision Die Crayon Scribble and plain cardstock. Next I used Paint Splats along with foil paper. I absolutely have to use something shiny on all of my projects! Lastly I added the Paint Brush and Palette using very small amounts of scrap paper. I strategically layered all of the Frantic Stamper Precision Die cuts onto a background paper from my stash. For the sentiment I used an old Dymo label maker. I laid out the sentiment and accidently bumped the table. Each word was slightly askew and I liked it! I glued them in place and voila!

Love Just for You - with tutorial (Rachelle Green)

Love Just for You - with tutorial
by Rachelle Green

This card was fast and easy. I used a Copic colored image and embossing folder with white core paper that I sanded with sandpaper. Next I used the Frantic Stamper Precision Die set Love Filled Heart along with glitter and foil paper.

The next part forced me to find a way to align the Frantic Stamper Wavy Banners and Greetings stamp set with the Wavy Banners die set. It was actually very simple and now I have a sure fire way to get it right.

This is my first attempt. It's not bad but I'm a little OCD. I wanted the stamp and die to align better.

  • Die cut the wavy banner using a small piece of cardstock. This is now your template.

  • Stamp the wavy banner onto your chosen cardstock.

  • Using a piece a Painter's or other easily removable tape, align and tape the template on top of the stamped image.

  • Now position the die onto the template and secure it with a piece of tape.

  • Finally run this "sandwich" through your die cutting machine and voila!

Use this same technique for any die with matching stamp for perfect results. Be sure to keep the template in the same packaging as the die,

You Can't Control the Wind (Rachelle Green)

You Can't Control the Wind
by Rachelle Green

I've been experimenting with different size cards lately. This card measures 4x4. After cutting and folding the base, I stamped and colored, with Copic Markers, the sailboat from the Frantic Stamper Clear Stamp set By The Sea.

I fussy cut the boat and then layered it between two layers of paper cut with Frantic Stamper Precision Die Stitched Scene Builder Edgers to simulate waves in water. To finish the scene off I added clouds and a plane from the Frantic Stamper Precision Die Village Sky set as well as a sentiment from the By The Sea Clear Stamp set. The card size is one I'll certainly revisit in the future.

Let's Meet Up (Rachelle Green)

Let's Meet Up
(by Rachelle Green)

Some sorority friends from my college days and I are trying to coordinate a meetup for food, drinks and conversation. I made this card to send to everyone as we finalize the details. I'm sure they'll all love it and be surprised that it was made with my own hands!

I started with Kraft cardstock and embossed the lower third of the card front. I wanted to create the effect of sand on the beach. Next, I used the Sunburst Panel to cut the sun out of some 3 x 3 squares that were left over from another project. I used Stitched Scene Builders Edgers die to create the feel of water. I cut and layered the Tall Palm Tree w/Fronds and added pearls which I colored with Copic markers to simulated coconuts. Finally I cut the Tropical Drinks, using multicolored Vellum paper to create the look of refreshing tropical drinks. I think the sentiment from my stash was a perfect finishing touch to a inviting summer invitation!
