Happy World Card Making Day! I hope you are having a chance to be creative today!
Some would probably disagree but coming from somewhere where it doesn't snow in winter, a trip to the snow certainly means lots of fun.

I created a little snowy scene using several Frantic Stamper dies.  The first one is a new in October called Snow Capped Mountains.  I cut two sets and placed then to make a snowy range.  Of course if you didn't want snow on your mountains you can leave the little caps off as they cut separately.

The foreground is created using a favourite set called Stitched Scene Builder edgers, again cut twice.  Next layer is the little trees Snow Globe Triangle trees cut and placed behind Oliver snowman.  I cut him in white then again in the various colours that enable me to dress him up.

There you have it; a fun snow scene.

This is the first card I've ever made with a curvy edge to it.  I've seen similar ones online but I never had the opportunity to try it out until now.

I used one of the dies that comes in the Stitched Scene Builder Edgers and positioned it so it would cut off some of the edge at an angle.  Then I cut out two of the Spring Ivy die and layered them with the darkest on the bottom to give the appearance of a shadow.  I stamped the Thank You from the Wavy Banners and Greetings Clear Stamp set which was easy to do since the stamp itself is curvy, and I wanted it along the curvy edge.

Countryside Forsythia Bushes

I used this photo of my neighbor's yard as inspiration for my card:



Every year my neighbor's yard blooms with various colors as the season progresses.  First come the yellow daffodils and forsythia bushes, then the cherry blossoms, red buds and magnolias, and then it's time for the azaleas.  My card is a little late for the season but I wanted to wait for the Rail Fence ribbon die to make the card complete, and I didn't own that die until just recently.

I find it easier to make scene cards when adhering the scene dies to a card panel just slightly smaller than the actual card base.   This way the sky doesn't go right up to the top of the card; there is a little bit of white framing behind it.   I used a card base that was A2 sized or 4.25 x 11" folded in half giving it a folded size of 4.25 x 5.5".  The top white panel was cut to a size of 4 x 5.25".

Once the top white panel was ready, I die cut the hills using the Stitched Scene Builder Edgers.   I then cut one of the Medium Bare Elm and Medium Base Ash trees, manually cutting both down to a shorter height so they looked more like shrubs.

I used the tiniest of the Petite Layering Posies for the flowers on the bushes, cutting them out of yellow card stock and filling in the centers with a white gel pen.   Next I used the Rail Fence ribbon die and ran that through a wood embossing folder to give it just a little texture, but that is hard to see in the photo.  I added the tiniest of the birdhouses and the hummingbird from the Small Birds collection.  The final step was to cut out the Little Clouds and adhere them with foam tape to give a dimensional look.

I've been experimenting with different size cards lately. This card measures 4x4. After cutting and folding the base, I stamped and colored, with Copic Markers, the sailboat from the Frantic Stamper Clear Stamp set By The Sea.

I fussy cut the boat and then layered it between two layers of paper cut with Frantic Stamper Precision Die Stitched Scene Builder Edgers to simulate waves in water. To finish the scene off I added clouds and a plane from the Frantic Stamper Precision Die Village Sky set as well as a sentiment from the By The Sea Clear Stamp set. The card size is one I'll certainly revisit in the future.

Once again a project came out just as I envisioned it. I always have miscellaneous "water" paper in my stash. I started with a 4" x 5 1/4" background. I used the same paper along with Frantic Stamper Stitched Scene Builder Edgers and foam squares to add dimension to the "water." After cutting out the fish with the Angel Fish set of 2 dies, I traced the dies onto some iridescent adhesive paper from my stash, glued the two layers together and then attached to the water. Using the Ocean Floor Icons die set and small amounts of my favorite foil and Kraft cardstock I cut and attached them to further complete the scene. Finally I added iridescent sequins as air bubbles, bling for the eyes and the sentiment to finish off my underwater scene.
