Instructions
-
Gift Box
-
Cut a strip of kraft colored cardstock 7 ½” x 2 ½”.
Make scores across strip at 1.5” (front), ¾” (bottom), 2 ½” ( back), ¾” (top), and the flap should be 1 ½”.
Round the corners.
-
Cut (2) 1” x 1 ¾” pieces of kraft cardstock.
Score ½” from each side leaving ¾” in middle.
These will be the box sides.
-
Mask and stamp the flap and box front with your choice of stamp.
I used Brilliance Pearlescent Moonlight White ink.
I embellished the stamped pattern with Stickles (frosted lace).
-
Apply double sided tape to edges of side pieces.
-
Stick the two side pieces to the back piece, lining up the bottom and side edges.
Do the same to the sides and front.
This will form a box.
Attach a small Velcro adhesive tab to the box/flap to hold it closed.
-
Embellish the front of the box with a circle layer of white cardstock and the blue cardstock used to make the ornaments.
Add sparkly snowflake embellishments.
-
Ornaments
-
Cut a strip of the Bazzill Wave paper that is about 5 inches wide.
Fold it in half lengthwise.
Cut into 2½” pieces.
You will need 1 folded piece for each ornament tag that you will make.
-
For the ornament tags, I used the circle Nestabilities that is approximately 1 3/4” across.
Lay the die down in your die cut machine sandwich.
Lay a cut piece of folded cardstock on the die.
Make sure the folded edge does NOT come complete to the cutting edge of the die.
Set it away about 1/16th of an inch, or so (see top edge of first ornament in photo).
I tape this in place with some drafting style tape that has light tack to it and is removable.
This un-cut edge with create the fold in your ornament tag.
You may want to experiment with this on a piece of scrap paper first.
-
Cut ornament tops from a piece of gray scrap cardstock and ink with Brilliance Pearlescent Platinum ink for a metallic look.
Punch a small hole and thread with silk ribbon.
