Warm Holiday Wishes Card

Materials

  • Paper and Cardstock
    • Bazzill Basics Cardstock, Kraft, Classic Texture     ( BAZ-9-960   $0.59)
    • My Minds Eye Holly Jolly collection, Deck the Halls     ( MME-P-HJ1002   $0.99)
    • My Minds Eye Holly Jolly collection, Ornamental     ( MME-P-HJ1007   $0.99)
    • Cream-colored cardstock to stamp image onto
  • Stamps
  • Inks and Embossing Powders
  • Embellishments
  • Tools
    • Nestabilities Ovals, Large     ( Wiz-D-S4110   $24.99)
    • Nestabilities Circles Petite Scallop, Small     ( Wiz-D-S4117   $24.99)
  • Adhesives

Instructions

  • Fold a 4-1/4” x 11” piece of Kraft cardstock in half to create a card base.

  • Cut Holly Jolly DP pieces and arrange onto Kraft CS as shown in sample.

  • Die Cut an oval from cream CS using a medium-sized Nesties Oval die.
    Leave die on oval to use as a mask.

  • Sponge the edges of the oval with Nesties die still in place using Vintage Photo ink.
    Remove die and clean with stamp cleaner when done sponging.

  • Stamp sentiment onto oval and adhere to DP as shown in sample.
    Wrap ribbon around the DP panel

  • Die Cut a 1-3/4” scallop circle from cream CS using a petite scallop circle die.
    Leave die on circle to use as a mask.

  • Sponge the edges of the scallop circle with Nesties die still in place using Vintage Photo ink.
    Remove die and clean with stamp cleaner when done sponging.

  • Ink up the largest snowflake image from Holly Jolly stamp set in dark brown ink and stamp onto scallop circle.
    Insert eyelet at one end of circle and thread with twine.
    Tie onto ribbon on card.



    Tip: Adhere a dimensional to the back of the hanging snowflake (but do not tape it down to the card) to add a little weight to the hanging embellishment.
    It will hang better that way.
