I have loved these cute Magnolia stamps for ages which is why I got very excited when the became available through Frantic Stamper.  I decided it would be fun to create a Valentines card with one of their images - especially since they have so many perfect cards for this occasion and I absolutely adore the Cuddly Siblings stamp.

I decided to keep my embellishments fairly simple, preferring to crack out the Die-cut machine to make some different effects such as the paper lace!

This card was created for a neighbors birthday, she is such a sweet lady and her yard is fill with lilacs in the springtime. By pairing the Frantic Stamper Lilac image and the papers from Graphic 45, A Ladies' Diary, this card becomes a very personal statement of friendship.

Some of the DT members think this would be a fabulous Valentine's Day card for that special friend. Do you agree?

I fell in love with the newest dies from La-La Land. The Heart Banner and the Heart Fence just yelled Valentine's Day to me, so I got out my gorgeous new papers from the Authentique Lovely Collection and cut my banner and fence. I then cut a kraft kitty using the sitting cat die from the Joy Crafts Cat, Mouse, and Fish die set. I used one of the cut-out hearts from the fence to make a nose for the kitty.

This card went to my daughter who is away at college, and whose kitty definitely misses her as much as she misses him.

Beautiful...a Valentine

Have you seen all the new dies from Hero Arts? Wow! Today's card features one, a tag design.

I chose an ivory card base and used pink card-stock as the mat. I edged the pink card-stock in gold. I cut the BoBunny paper to 5 x 3 3/4 inches and mounted it onto my card with mounting tape.

I die cut the label using a Hero Arts die and BoBunny paper. I stamped BEAUTIFUL and the love birds onto the label using Ranger Archival ink in Crimson. (I love these inks! They have the most beautiful vintage looking colors.) I mounted the label onto the card using more mounting tape.



I added my brown mesh bow with glue dots.

I love the way the card came out, especially the label. The Archival Crimson is such a close match for the BoBunny paper that they seem made for each other.

I hope you enjoyed this pretty card as much as I did making it.

I was recently sorting through some old books, looking at which ones I could use for cards when I came across a whole book of blank aged paper. I decided to play with it and came up with this masculine card. I started by stamping my aged paper with the Frantic Stamper Grandfathers Letter Background stamp then tearing and inking the edges.

I then used a heat tool to make sure that the whole piece was thoroughly dry before stamping the Fleur De Lis stamp onto the centre and embossing it with Rangers Verdegris embossing powder. One thing I found with working on aged papers was that its extremely difficult to gauge how quickly the ink will dry or soak into the paper - but I actually like the worn kind of feeling so in the end it worked well for me.

To finish, I edged the interior sections of the Fluer De Lis with a white gel pen to make the stand out then completed my card by adding a pen nib!

It Seemed Like a Good idea.... (Lis Whiting)

Hi everyone!  Today's fun card fun uses BoBunny Papers from their new line Family Is. This line includes plenty of family themed pieces. The colors are very pretty with their really nice deep blues and light limes. I can see these papers used for guy scrapbook pages.

I wanted to use banners (all the rage) so I decided to create a card that was different from the usual A2 size that I make.  So, the dimensions of this card are 8 inches tall by 4 inches wide.

I chose a pretty red patterned paper with hearts on it as my base card. I chose some other papers in the collection and made banners of different lengths and widths for interest. The top banner is actually a sticker from the collection. It reads "It seemed like a good idea at the time..."; Boy doesn't that sound familiar!


BoBunny designed one page, called Crazy, to look like a Scrabble™ game with words like Mischief, Silly, Siblings, and so on. I cut out a couple of these words to use on the front of my card and added these words to my card with mounting tape.

This card was simple to produce because it used a single stamped image. The Frantic Stamper Lady Collage cling-mounted stamp has all the elements of a collage with the ease of inking just one stamp!

Once the image was stamped onto white card-stock and colored the card was finished by simply layering it onto a lacy-bordered layer, and then onto a card base.

Don't you just love cards that are easy to make that look just fabulous?

Warehouse Wednesday: CHA Update and New Arrivals

CHA Update and New Arrivals

Oh boy, oh boy!!!   This week has been very exciting at Frantic Stamper!   Our UPS and FedEx drivers have sure been busy bringing in tons of new products we purchased at CHA!

Yesterday, we received all the new Bo Bunny products, all the new My Mind's Eye collections and all the February Sizzix releases for Tim Holtz and Stephanie Barnard!  We also just got in new dies and stamps from La-La Land, new stamps from Magnolia and LaBlanche.

Last week, we received new dies from Cottage Cutz, Elizabeth Crafts and Die-Versions, as well as new collections from Carta Bella (True Friends), Echo Park (Scoot), Best Creations (Farm Life and Meow).

Arriving in the next few days, with still time to place a pre-order, are new distress paints from Ranger and Tim Holtz and new Dylusions ink sprays from Ranger as well.   We're also scheduled to receive our first shipment from Do-Crafts (cool "urban" stamps and dies) which will be on the site hopefully today.

Tomorrow, we're also supposed to receive the new Just Rite stamps and new Penny Black stamps.  New Inkadinkado stamps are scheduled in for Friday.

Hopefully next week, we should be getting in some new Prima items.  I've hesitated putting it up on the site because we're not terribly sure of the exact arrival date, but as soon as we know better, we will upload it and make it available for ordering.

Every day is like a big surprise!  We're working just as fast as we can to get the new products up on the site for you!
