Tip Template Tuesday: Meander Book

Once a month or so on a Tuesday we will be offering a template in lieu of our usual tips... for a change of pace for both you our readers, and for the design team. Today is one of those Tuesdays!

This template is for making a little meander book. Start with a piece of paper or card stock that is 6"x6" and score at 2" and 4" in both directions (or try an 8 1/4"x8 1/4" inch square with scores at 2 3/4" and 5 1/2" or a 9"x9" square scored at 3" and 6"). Cut in a spiral as shown. Accordion fold the "pages", alternating mountain and valley folds on the score lines, until the book is stacked onto itself. Add covers if desired.

If stamping the book, be sure to stamp AFTER the book is formed since pages will be in varied orientations!

If you make a meander book we would love it if you would share! Upload a photo somewhere (Flickr, Picasa, Photobucket, etc.) and then share a link with us in the comments. To share all you need to do is add the following codes to your comment, and then replace the word "link" with the actual link to your photo:

      My Meander Book

Your comment will then contain the words "My Meander Book" which will link to your photo. The design team really looks forward to seeing your work!

I've made one of these before with a 12x12 sheet of the Claudine Helmouth Stickyback canvas. It was a great project to make and so easy. You can see it at my blog at this link - http://justmeandthem.typepad.com/just_me_and_them/2011/05/canvas-book-share.html

    cheers
