Flower Power (Jennifer Willis)

Flower Power
by Jennifer Willis

There are so many lovely flower embellishments to choose from and they are oh so popular, but sometimes you just don't have the perfect flower for your project. So why not create your own fancy flowers? The Memory Box Fabulous Phlox die is the perfect item to have in your bag of tricks.

To create these flowers you will need Bazzill Cardstock - Walnut Cream colored card stock, Memento Rich Cocoa ink,  Tsukineko Versafine Vintage Sepia ink, Tattered Angels True Turquoise Glimmer Mist, The Robin's Nest Regular Dew Drops - Halloween and the Frantic Stamper cling mounted Torn Print rubber stamp. To begin, stamp the Torn Print image on the card stock, with the Sepia ink, several times.

Position the 3 largest flower dies, from the set, on the stamped areas and run through your die cutter (you can get one flower from each stamping if carefully placed).

Mist the flowers with a bit of glimmer mist and allow to dry a few minutes.

With a sponge, distress the edges of the flowers with the Rich Cocoa ink and then using the edge of your scissors, curl the petals.

Stack and adhere 3 flowers, arranging them from large to small. Finish the flowers off with a dew drop center.

The great thing about creating your own flower is that you can match your colors and prints to your project perfectly. Thanks for stopping by!
